The second day of my trip, i woke up at 12pm. In fact the whole family woke up late! Wanted to go to the Sunday market really badly but it closes at 2pm. So we were like rushing rushing. In the end we made it to the Sunday market with 15minutes to shop. We didn't buy anything in the end! HAH!

My dad decided to bring us to the local shopping center after that. Riccarton shopping mall. They call it mall. Not shopping center. It was like any other shopping mall I guess. Except they are more generous with their sales! Bought a few items there, mainly clothes

Then we rushed to the riccarton zoo. The zoo closes at 5:00pm (early I know) We made it there at 4:30pm. So half an hour inside. There's nothing special about the zoo, so I'm not going to elaborate on it.

We picked up my dad at the golf course after that, camwhored a lil bit in the ladies changing room and then on the green. Hehe

It was already 6pm. Dad then drove us somewhere supposedly to have dinner. Good. Cause I was hungry. We ended up at a beach first.

There was this huge cave there and so we entered it. It was beautiful once your got to the end of the cave.

As we were leaving the beach, my dad saw this sign that said no dogs on the beach. Then he saw two ladies walking their dog on the beach and my dad was like: Two bitches walking their bitch on the beach.

ROFLMAO. MY DAD FTW.

I got alot of sand in my shoes.

After that it was already 9pm you see. We went to this warm restaurant called the corner shop, unfortunately, their kitchen was closed. It was getting later and later. So that night we had a cup maggie mee each and ordered two soups from room service. HAHAH! Talk about a lovely dinner. That wrapped up our day and we hit the sack in preparation for DAY 3 NZ! STAY TUNED.

HI! I'M BACK! FROM THE BEAUTIFUL NEW ZEALAND! Miss me? New Zealand was awesome okay! You think Singapore is clean?! Think again! If Singapore is the garden city, then New Zealand is x1000 more garden city-ish than Singapore! I went to the South island of New Zealand. For those that don't know, New Zealand consists of two islands. The north island and the south island (No, they are not like north and south korea). The North island is where Auckland is. It is also the most populated city in New Zealand. Ironically it is not the capital city. The capital city is Wellington, the third most populated city in New Zealand, also in the North island.

I went to the South, that means I went to the country side of New Zealand, it's sparsely populated there. One town can consist of a few thousand people only. The largest city there is Christchurch. They have I think 4 million people in New Zealand, and New Zealand is a pretty big country. You can imagine how much land they have compared to Singapore!

DAY 1 NEW ZEALAND - SINGAPORE TO CHRIST CHURCH!

10 hours in an airplane is not good for your butt. I am serious.

Spectacles.

I must talk about the camper vans. They were all over New Zealand. I really wanted to rent the camper van. But my family refused saying that it's small and we'll feel claustrophobic ):

They have time zones all over New Zealand. This one was at the airport. Cool airports have arcades. Yeah......

Let me tell you something about airplanes. I hate the turbulance. I hate them I hate them I hate them. I always think that something bad's going to happen and we're all gonna die and drown in the ocean because the plane's going to fall. I'm too young to die!

So when we got off the plane, we walked to the immigration. If you think Singaporeans are friendly, then New Zealanders are like friendly x1000000! They will say hello to you like they mean it, like they really want to, with a genuiene smile on their face. It was really warming to see.

You are going to see alot of camwhoring shots of me -shameless-. I'm the photographer for the family, so no one takes pictures of me. I take myself. Oh my gosh *facepalm*

So anyway, the first thing you'll notice when you step out of the airport is.. THE SKY IS SO FREAKING BLUE. Blue like you would not believe! The weather's so good! The air's crisp and it's perfect to wear anything! You will be awed by how unharmed the enviroment is.

See what I mean? The sky's damn blue right? We drove to the city center (which btw size is pathetic. It's like the size of the campus of a school.) Checked in the hotel and slacked for a little bit.

After walking around for awhile, we decided to get lunch which ended up being our dinner because the serving is huge! Which probably explains why food over there is more expensive :/

After eating, my sister and I wandered off to the stores around in the streets.

I love the sheep wool boots! But they cost $200. I wouldn't wear them as often as Singapore's too hot!

I really lol-ed when I saw these. Funny shit.

We went back to the hotel and everyone's busy doing their own thing. My sister was playing with her phone so there wasn't anyone entertaining me. So... to entertain me, I *facepalm* camwhored..

After awhile, (and multiple camwhoring shots) we left for a short road trip! I slept on the car.

Oh yeah, I slept for a total of 30 + (12x7) hours this trip. I'm a pig. Oh yeah....

Woke up and found myself at the beach! COOOOOOL.

It was freaking cold. Even though I dont lok like I'm cold, I'm freezing. So we went back to the car after a short while and headed for the mountains nearby!

After the mountains, we went grocery shopping. I LOVE SHOPPING IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY'S SUPER MARKET. HAHAHAH.

The sell these itunes gift cards which mean you pay cash and you get credits to buy stuff off itunes. Kinda like those acash that maply story, audition players buy. I wanted to get one, but it was only usable in New Zealand. Facepalm.

I love the old fashioned kinder bueno surprise egg. It's cooler cause you dont know what you get, as compared to the one now, where you just open the casing and you see what you get.

The sun sets really late every night. At around 10pm then the sun sets. Just so you know, the sun rises at 5 every morning! That's like 17 hours of sunlight everyday!

Going down under

Today, I am going to blog about the mind of males and females. According to the above source, it clearly states that females take a significantly longer time and spend more money to buy a pair of shoes as compared to guys. No matter how much you want to disagree with it, it is absolutely true.

Take me for example. I love retail therapy. In my opinion, it's the best therapy there is! Whoever said money couldn't buy happiness just did not know where to shop. Whenever I shop, I want to get the best deal I can. This means, I would see a top that catches my eye, try it on, maybe take a picture, then contemplate awhile before putting it back on the rack. Then, I would walk around the shopping center to look for a similar top and see if it's cheaper or nicer. If I did manage to find something cheaper and nicer, I would then try it on, take a picture and contemplate for awhile before putting it back on the rack. Once all my research is done, I would sit at like long john silvers (Because I like the crazy on potatoes cheese thingy) and consult whoever I went shopping with if I should get the first top I saw, or the second top or the third top. This process usually takes awhile :/

If let's say my friend decides that the 2nd top is nicer, I would go back to the store, look at it on the rack and scrutinize it for a long time, thinking about all the occasions I would wear it. Sometimes after much consideration, I end up buying nothing home. Other times, I end up going back to the first stall to try on the top again so I can make the best best BEST choice.

So there you have it, an insight to the female mind. The reason why we take so long is because we want to make sure we get the best deal we can get. This means paying less for more quality.

Whereas for guys............

When I shop with my dad, he goes into the store, grabs a Shirt, tries it on and says ok. He's going to get this. Within less than 30minutes, my dad managed to get himself a pair of jeans, 2 tops and a belt. After that he says he has a headache and we all have to go home >:( (standard line)
I guess for guys, they don't like to hassle. To them so long as it looks nice and fits good, it's fine. Plus also, the fact that guys only have to choose between shirts and pants makes it alot easier. (Girls have to choose between pants, shorts, skirts, dresses, shirts, tank tops etc etc!)

SO, IN CONCLUSION. I ADVISE ALL GIRLS. IF YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND, PLEASE DO NOT BRING THEM SHOPPING WITH YOU.

Okay, maybe some boyfriends are too devoted, they are willing to sit in one corner of the boutique with their phones playing coin dozer while waiting for you to try on the clothes, and then after comment on how you look (usually saying that it looks good to please you so they can end shopping with you faster) AND THEN wait for you to change back and decide that hey, you're not going to get it after all. & then your boyfriend will be like the Y U NO guy. He'd be like : Y U NO GET THE DRESS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

There was this once, I was at forever 21 (you don't have to be 21 to shop there. Guys.) and there's this ledge at the entrance of the store, sitting side by side are husbands/boyfriends/sons all waiting for their wife/girlfriends/daughters to finish shopping. You can see like a mini IT fair with all the PDAs, Iphones, Blackberrys whipped out and all the husbands/boyfriends/sons playing with it like it's their life.

I guess that's why my dad always gets a headache.. Too much coin dozer. HAHAH.

Sorry, I didn't know how to continue. So anyway, I'm leaving Singapore for New Zealand tonight. It's going to be grass grass cows sheeps grass grass grass for the next 8 days! I'll be back with photos (;

Beauty

They always say, beauty is skin deep. (No. This does not mean that that the thicker your skin is, the more beautiful you are.) Problem is, people seem to have a misconception of this phrase. They literally think that because it's skin deep, they should have nothing but skin. Yes, I mean super skinny girls still starving themselves because they think they're fat.

These models have gorgeous faces. However their body just does not send the right message to young teenage girls who admire these models. These are still the okay photos. There are some photos on google that are just disturbing. I'm not discriminating thin people. I'm not. However, if you're purposely starving yourself just for you to be thin so you can be "beautiful", then yes I am discriminating you.

I'm no stranger to this issue. I've been bullied from young. Always been called fat. FAT. (Fat ass, big sized, huge, full of oil, etc etc. You name it, I've been called before) You have no idea how desprate I was to slim down. In PRIMARY school, I would skip breakfast and dinner everyday. Sometimes I would just have bread for the whole day and be proud of myself for eating so little. Eventually, yes. I slimmed down, but just by 2-3kgs. Enough to get me out of the TAF club. Of course I couldn't keep starving myself, so I started to eat normally again, and I put back all the weight I lost. When this happens, I starve myself again. I'm not that bad, because I know I can't live without food. But what about girls who starve themselves even when they're desprate for food all because they want to attain the Perfect size 2 figure? They eventually faint! Some even suffer from anorexia. You can eventually die from anorexia if you don't get it treated mind you! If anorexia is such a dangerous and negative thing, why do people still do it?

Peer pressure. Yes.

I was pressured myself to be thin because I was bigger than the average size. Because I'm fat, it means I'm unattractive and ugly. Students are vicious. They will tell you hurtful stuff and not know it stabs you like no one's business. You want to know why? Because it doesn't affect them. So they wouldn't care. You can't really blame them, they just haven't matured. Shame on them. I seriously think that schools and society should do more to educate students on healthy bodies and not to mention basic respect for everyone.

AND NO. I DO NOT THINK THAT TAF CLUB OR WHATEVER FUN AND FITNESS IS A GOOD IDEA.

It's like writing overweight or underweight on a masking tape and pasting it onto your body. It makes a student an easier target to get bullied. In primary school, during PE, I would have immature boys telling me, "what are you doing here? Go to your TAF club lar!" Even worse, TAF spelled backwards is, FAT. It's bad enough that the students are making fun of us already, now even MOE is making fun of us!

Bottomline, it's not cool to make fun of someone just because of their size. To you, words are just words. But did you ever think about how your words might impact others? Actions have consequences. For all you know, you might be the cause of someone's death all because you said something insensitive to him/her (Usually her. Girls are more sensitive) and not even know it! This does not just apply to calling people fat. It also applies to calling people short, thin, tall, odd shaped, pear shaped and all sorts of shape, size or color!

I eventually slimmed down in secondary school. Through the healthy way of excersising and going for jogs and swimming and all that jazz. Although I'm still not the average size of a normal singaporean girl, I'm healthy. So there!

Another misconception is that, beautiful = pretty.

Beautiful most certainly does not equals to pretty! You want a fine example?

She's pretty! But also a perfect example of a dumb blond. I'm sorry to use such a term, but seriously! American's can't locate USA on the world map because they don't own maps?

In my opinion, Beauty is about brains, it's about how big your heart is too. Your looks only make up 20% of how beautiful you are. The other 80% is how beautiful you are on the inside. When you grow old, how beautiful you are on the outside does not matter anymore, beacuse you're probably going to become all old and wrinkly and stuff. Oh, and smell like old people. It's your inner beauty that people are going to look at in the long term. Outer beauty is good for first impressions, how you present yourself. But if a person really wants to get to know you, it's your inner beauty that he or she is going to see. So I believe inner beauty is so much more important than whats on the outside. Not saying that what's on the outside is not significant. It is significant. I'm just saying we all need to stop worrying if a strand of out hair is out of place, our if there's a new pimple on my head (I'm not going to lie, I freak out when I see a pimple come out of my head...) and all that kind of stuff, and focus on building our character. ALTHOUGH I AM A BIG FAN OF THE QUESTION: DOES THIS DRESS MAKE ME LOOK FAT.

Nostalgia

I'd like to say that I've changed alot. The changes to me are, drastic. Yes. I use a strong word. Drastic. I've changed both physically and mentally. But I can't really show you how much I've changed mentally because only I know myself inside and out, the best. So I'm gonna show you how much physically I've changed. ARE YOU READY?! I'm serious. You better get ready. You may die from extreme laughter, or extreme shock, or extreme disgust. Or whatever is on the extreme side. I always thought that my before and after is pretty extreme.

PRIMARY SCHOOL-
Primary 6. Let's start from here shall we? I was a fat ass. Yes. Even I put it that way ):
I've always been the target of being bullied when I was in primary school. Guess it's because of the way that I looked? I also admit that my attitude is that of a serious bitch's attitude. I was kind of like a bimbo I guess. An ugly bimbo. As in, I wasn't very pretty, but I acted like I was very pretty. I guess I was a.. *gasp* dare I say it?! A "BUANGSTER" (used to describe someone very disgusting but thinks he/she is very awesome)

Enough about the description. You wanna see how I look?! Here you go:

The first picture, I'm the girl in red. My body was less than flattering I would say. Yes. The girl in red is me.. The second picture, I'm also the girl in red. I was soooooo nerdy! Oh my gosh. The girl in white is Syamim. For my readers going to the same school as me, Syamim was my classmate for 4 years in primary school and SHE HAS A DAMN NICE FIGURE OKAY! SHE STILL HAS! *jealous*
The third picture, you could see how big sized I was! Okay, I'm still very big sized, but smaller compared to last time! I'm the fourth on from the left by the way. (omg, I'm cringing right now). Then we move on the the forth picture, I'm the big sized one on the extreme left. The one with the white elephant legs. With the "act cute" sign. (I used to do that alot ._. )

( I really can't believe I'm doing this post. I must really really want to write something entertaining for you all, so you all better click on my ads or something! LOL)

Secondary school:
SECONDARY 1. Those 2 days at orientation, people who saw me, got to see my primary school look. The one in the above two pictures. I guess people didn't really notice me? Cause I was pretty quiet. Until the first day of school. I was really deprate not to become the nerd that I was in primary school again. So when the teacher asked for someone to be the chairperson, I volunteered. LOL. Yes yes, to some it might seem like I'm thick skinned. To me however, it was a stepping stone for me to abandon my former unglamourous self. Abit of change started to take place in Secondary 1. I switched to contacts like 2 or 3 months after school started.

So this is how I look in contacts. This was one of the pictures in which I looked slimmer in. Back then, Tricia had short hair and braces!

These two pictures were taken after sports day. Imma let the pictures speak for themselves.......

A few months later, it was June. You know what happened then? I got my braces!

To be frank, I think I look better when I had my braces. Cause I think I look cuter..... I'M SERIOUS! Without braces, I think I look old....

SECONDARY 2:

Something pretty drastic happened here. I cut my hair short! Why? It's a pretty funny story really.. I think the event was.. Orientation? I forgot. I really forgot. I was slacking in the SL room during the event (as usual :/ ) and flipping through an issue of teenage magazine when I saw hebe in a bob. I stood in front of the mirror for so long deciding to cut? or not to cut! I was really irritated with my hair then, so in a split second, I cut my hair. I asked my pirmary school best friend to accompany me. I swear it was a roller coaster ride in when I was in the hair dresser's seat. My friend was like: OMG HE SNIPPED THAT OFF. OMG HE SNAPPED THIS OFF!
My heart was like up and down, down and up the whole time.

I don't have to show you a picture of how I look like with short hair right? It pretty much is just how I look like now...

Extreme makeover? COMPLETE.

Oh wait! One more important thing. My braces got removed when I was in Secondary 3.

I think I look so much older with my braces removed ):

So now, the extreme makeover is completed. Haha

I wonder how I would look like 2 years from now. I'll (I hope) be in JC1. Who knows? I might have long hair again? Or maybe I"ll be botak? (Don't say never okay? I've been wanting to cut botak for very long already, but I don't have the courage. *face palm)

OR MAYBE.. (I PRAY SO HARD) THAT I WILL HAVE A SPORTS ILLUSTRATED BIKINI MODEL FIGURE. That's right! Who knows? anything is possible. For all you know, I may be on the cover of sports illustrated one day. (Not FHM or Maxim please. I'm too glamourous for that. LOL) (I'm kidding)(Seriously)(I'm not that thick skinned) (Seriously, don't take the whole maxim fhm and sports illustrated thing seriously ._. )

The longest 7.5 seconds of my life

I just finished a game with north Brooks secondary and omg it was the most gut wrenching game of my life.

First quarter:
Before the game, our friends from bukit merah told us that their coach said we got a chance to win. So yeah we were like ok, since we could win most of the matches we were predicted to win. Then the match started. I had to start the ball since phoebe was overseas (Phoebe please come back quick! We need you like totally! I swear if we didn't have you, We'd totally whip our hair back and forth. Totally.) So anyway, the match started and not long after, team mayflower seemed to have given up. By the end of the first quarter, team north brooks led by 18 point to a clean zero for mayflower.

Second quarter:
After being psyched up by coach, it seems like team mayflower's given ourselves some hope. We caught up with them and by the end of the second quarter. The score? 18-12. Northbrooks leading. The team could finally raise their head a lil bit. From 0 points, we caught up and managed to score 12 points, at the same time not allowing north brooks to enter any baskets. Pretty impressive, no? H

Third quarter:
Now it gets serious. We had a chance To catch up here. Tension was building up. Everytime we scored a basket, we would humble ourselves and continue to give our best. Everytime they scored a basket, it seemed to push down our morale a lil bit. But we didn't give up.

The score's tied. 22:22.

Forth quarter:
The most gut wrenching quarter I think I've ever exprienced. The difference between the points were merely 2-3 points. Never breaking the 4 point difference mark. At the last 7.5 seconds of the game, mayflower was leading by 2 points. The ability to catch up and tie with the opponent after managing to score 0 in the first quarter was commendable. We couldn't give up now. We were so close. But 7.5 seconds is alot of time. In 7.5 seconds, the opponent could snatch the ball and score, breaking it into overtime. Team mayflower did not want that, we were too exhausted to continue. Well, I was too exhausted. I really did not want to play another 5 minutes. After being briefed by coach, we went on court determined to win the game. But 0.1s into the game, time out. And so we had another briefing. This carried on for about 3 times. 7.5seconds of game turned into more than 10minutes because of the time outs called. Ewry single time we had to learn a new tactic to apply right there on the spot. (stress ah)

The ending:
Finally after so many timeouts, the longest 7.5 seconds of my life passed. With Both teams failing to make a shot. Making mayflower the winner of the game. We led 35: 33

A narrow 2 point lead.

Really the most 'ant in my butt' game ever. Haha!

MY LOVELY SATURDAY

Woke up to a beautiful Saturday morning and met Jenny to go to scape flea! Jesphne joined shortly after and we had a good time bargining for clothing. Oh wait, correction. I had a good time bargining. Right Jenny? I swear Jesphne could do a commercial for muscle cramp ointments and still look good!

It was great to get to catch up with J & J. We had a wonderful time at the flea. The first time I bought nothing over $5! Fleas are a great place to go bargin hunting I think. In fact, I enjoy shopping at fleas more than anything else. I think I'm pretty aunty sometimes! Something going for $5, I will bargin til $3! It's a skill ok! Don't laugh! Jenny got her nails done. $18! For the designs that she got, it was super worth it. While she was doing her nails, Jesphne & I got a little bit crazy.

We then trained back to ang mo kio where we went to attend the basketball girl barbeque!!! YAY!
Feel super bad for making Mr Tan buy all the food and cook all the food for us. The only available beverage there was either coke or pepsi. So you didn't have water to drink. Only coke, or pepsi. I drank 5 cans of that stuff. I swear I never ever want to see another can/bottle/cup of coke or pepsi again!

& that pretty much concluded my lovely saturday. Sorry for not blogging in awhile! I've been pretty buys making sure that my holidays are well spent :D
I haven't touched any school work yet. Damn it.

Death, when it takes us

I asked my dad a few days ago, randomly, how did he feel like when he learnt that my grandfather passed away. You could tell that there was a certain uneasiness in his voice. I suddenly regretted asking my father the question.

When I was Primary 2, my grandfather passed away. I remember the moment very vivdly. My family and I were all having dinner when we recieved a call. My dad picked it up with his usual "hello" but he did not end it with the usual "bye". Even then, at a young age of 8, I could see pain overwhelming my dad's face. He said in a low voice in chinese, "我的父亲去世了".

8 years have passed, and obviously the death of my grandfather still stings my father. Needless to say, I didn't probe any further. However, it got me thinking..

How would I take it if my father passed away? You could say I'm a daddy's girl. I'm very close to my father, he's the one that scolds me, signs my report book, buys me stuff, argues with my mum for me.. all that kind of stuff..

I kept thinking and thinking and my mind wandered off to wondering what will happen after one dies? We will all cease to exsist. Buried deep in earth. Is there such thing as heaven and hell? Everything I've done in my lifetime, gone. Like that, I will not be able to change it, or enjoy it. If you come to think of it, the lifespan of an average person is 70 years old. 70 years isn't alot.

You could say, I am afraid of death. I am very very afraid of death. The thought of me not exsisting anyone scares me.

But then again... If I live for forever, life will be meaningless and then no one will treasure their life span.

People are difficult to satisfy :/

This is Yoyo a Jack Russel Terrier. It's a SHE. I got her when I was primary 4. Initially my parents were really against the whole idea of having a pet. Their reasons were the common ones (Pet food, Needs attention, Dog poop etc) However, one day when my sister and I dragged them to a pet shop to look at puppies, the whole family instantly fell in love with Yoyo. She was tiny then, really really tiny. The size of two palms. Now, she's a fat blob the size of two arm length! :D

When we brought Yoyo home, we were all still deciding what to name her. Taking into consideration that we had a madarin speaking granny at home (who wanted to name Yoyo 小花) we decided Yoyo would be the best for any language to pronouce. Initially it was difficult to get Yoyo to settle into the family, but we got used to that.

There were many occasions in which Yoyo tried to run away. There was once we left the main gate open, and Yoyo ran out the back gate into the private housing estates. We thought we'd lost her for good. My sister was bawling her eyes out. I went out and continued searching, thank god Yoyo ran back and I was able to catch her! Another occasion was at night, she squeezed through the gates and ran away in the middle of the night, it was raining that night. My dad woke up at 2am in the morning feeling uneasy, so he went down to get a cup of water, but heard scratching sounds on the main door, he opened it and saw a very wet Yoyo sitting on the front porch. Amazing huh? The connection between the dog and it's owner.

Dogs are incredibly sensitive creatures. Whenever I feel down or sad, Yoyo would always come to my side and lie next to me, or next to my legs, begging for attention I think. Her adorableness never fails to cheer me up, her cheer up whimpers make me feel so much better.

My dog has really adorable habits. Like, everytime when it rains, and thunder sounds are heard, Yoyo would always run upstairs (she's not allowed to) and hide in one of the shelves. She always thinks the thunder's out to get her I think. Might be cause of the night she ran away incident. Haha. Another adorable habit is that everytime we get her on the car, she would stick her head out of the window with her mouth open to let the wind blow into her face. She can barely open her eyes, but that's just the way she likes it I guess. Also at dinner time, my dog always knows the right tree to bark on. Either me or my dad. Cause she knows it's always dad or me that gives her scraps of food from the dinner table.

Today, Yoyo's 6 years old. In dog life, she's 42 years old already! The average life span of a dog is 10-15 years. I can't imagine how heart broken I would be if Yoyo died. She's always there for me, even if I'm never there for her. I sincerely appreciate her for that. I really love Yoyo. It's amazing how there's this special connection between men and dogs. They truly are a man's best friend (:

"When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I’ve got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.

Suddenly I didn’t know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce.. I raised the topic calmly.

She didn’t seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn’t talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to Dew. I didn’t love her anymore. I just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company.

She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Dew so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn’t have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Dew.

When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.

In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn’t want anything from me, but needed a month’s notice before the divorce.

She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month’s time and she didn’t want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.

This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day.

She requested that everyday for the month’s duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door ever morning.. I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.

I told Dew about my wife’s divorce conditions.. . She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully..

My wife and I hadn’t had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mummy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don’t tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn’t looked at this woman carefully for a long time.. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me.

On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn’t tell Dew about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.

She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily.

Suddenly it hit me… she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.

Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it’s time to carry mum out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly;

it was just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn’t noticed that our life lacked intimacy.

I drove to office…. jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind…I walked upstairs. Dew opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Dew, I do not want the divorce anymore.

She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead.. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Dew, I said, I won’t divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn’t value the details of our lives, not because we didn’t love each other any more. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart.

Dew seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away.

At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I’ll carry you out every morning until death do us apart.

That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed - dead.

The small details of your lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, property, the money in the bank. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves.”

So, induction and the sec4 SL farewell party just wrapped up yesterday, and today I woke up at 1pm. I slept for 14 hours!!!!!!! Feel so good ^^
So yesterday during the individual debriefing thing, we talked about parasites living in the human body. Think it might be pretty cool to blog about it!

THE HUMAN BOTFLY.

So this is what the bot fly larva looks like. Basically they live in your skin, feeding on your skin until they become adult bot flies and fly off. But most people can't wait that long, because you can feel the bot fly moving in your skin, you can hear them if they are somewhere near your ear. You can get a bot fly larva in your skin through mosquito bites actually. When the mosquito bites you, they implant the eggs in your skin and then the larva starts to grow in your skin. So far all the people who have gotten the bot fly larva developing in their skin all went to this place called Belize. Don't know where that is. All I know is I'm never going there. HAHA!

Hi! Once again I'm waiting for Jinli! Hahahah! I'm waiting for her to buy her pepper lunch so I can buy mine!

We swan like 10 sets today!!!! Woooooooo! That's an achievement! & I've got my sexy tan lines! So anyway, back to my post:

Why do I sleep so late you might ask? Well my brain is the brain of any other normal teenage kid. When the holidays are here, we got the mentality that holidays are here! No need care! (this means curfews) teenagers do things in the moment. Meaning we do whatever we wanna do when we particularly feel like it. So if we don't feel like sleeping, we won't sleep. Which is why we usually knock out at like 2-4 am because that's when we really cannot make it already. Lol. Then the next morning, we wake up extremely late because, like I said, we do things in the moment. And at that particular moment, we don't wanna wake up. Thus leading to oversleeping to like 12pm in the afternoon.

You know what happens next?

We sleep later and later because we wake up later and later. This later becomes what I call HOLIDAY JETLAG!

But when you're in secondary school, it hardly ever happens anymore. Cos you have activities in the morning so often. So then you develop panda eyes. Oh yes, panda eyes. Easily developed if you don't get enough sleep.

So why do teenagers sleep so late? Like I said, they do things when they feel like. Oh yeah! Hahah.

I'm currently outside the swimming complex waiting for JinLi. So I thought I'd post something.

Singaporeans can wake up so early!!!!

Like seriously. I mean it's like 9:33am right now, and people are swarming to the pool. I usually wake up at like 11am during the weekends. So by the time I wake up, these people must have already finished a gazillion laps! Why do I wake up so late? Cos I sleep late. Take last night, I told myself that I'll sleep at 10:30pm. I ended up tossing and turning in bed and watching YouTube videos til 2am.

This fish (the blue one) is one of the biggest motivation of my life. Don't laugh. I'm serious. Why you might ask? For those of you that has actually watched Finding Nemo, there's this scene where she sings this little song. It goes like this:

"Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming...."

This line, or song, has kept me going from when finding nemo came out all the way until now. Whenever life gets difficult with me, I keep telling myself: Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.
Somehow when I tell myself that, it atomatically sends this other message that it's all going to be alright.

If you didn't know, I'm the type that can't go to sleep at night if something isn't right. This includes friendship problems, school work problems, student leadership problems and of course CCA problems. & how do I fall asleep in the end? Yep, that's right. I tell myself to just keep swimming because I know everything's gonna be alright. & most of the time, I end up confronting my problem. Which is good. I think? HAHAHAH.

Of course, sadly.. this does not work all the time. Recently I had to deal with a problem which I have yet to confront. & no matter how many times I tell myself to just keep swimming, I just can't seem to make myself believe that everything's gonna be alright. So I'm believing in something else.

GOD HAS EVERYTHING PLANNED FOR YOU ALREADY.
Yes. Believe it or not, it gets me through the days. HAHAH! Of course this doesn't mean I stopped believing in dory! DORY DORY DORY!

Let's talk about my CCA. That's right! Basketball!

When people ask me about my CCA, I get two responses.
1. HUH?! SERIOUS?! You don't look like!
2. Oh I see, yeah, you're tall. (misconception, tall doesn't mean you play basketball well. It just means you have a height advantage. Most good dribblers are not that tall)

Yes yes, I play basketball. Ever since I was primary 3. Yes people, I'm secondary 3 now. That means I've played basketball for a good 7 years now. Next year's gonna be my 8th year! Do I ever get bored?

YES. I DO.

I DREAD BASKETBAlL TRAINING. Sometimes when I roll out of bed in the morning I tell myself I'm gonna come back in the afternoon and take a nap. But then I remember that I've got basketball and then I'm like... Damn.

So why you ask did I join basketball in the first place you might ask. Orginally I wanted to join modern dance *cringe* don't laugh. I went to the dance try outs and the teacher pitifully tried to break it to me, sympathetically, that I didn't make the cut. Ouch, major self esteem bullet.

But then I imagined myself as a dancer, it never would have worked out anyway. I can't dance! The only dance I can do is the chicken dance! (which is good enough for me) so I let go the 'dream' of being a dancer go easily. ^^

Oh wait, kim's calling me to warm up. Update later! Match against Dunearn secondary in awhile. Nervous! I think I'm gonna be sick!!!!!!

Hi ya'll! Hahah! Today, I'm gonna talk about MY AMBITION!
Like all young little kids, I wanted to be a doctor when I grew up. Then adults had to spoil my ambition by telling me that doctors need to study real hard and get all As! (I was naive then)
and so, I changed my ambition. I wanted to become a fashion designer. That is, until I realize I can't draw, nor do I design anything that's original or boomz.
Thus, another ambition change came into place. This time I wanted to be a lawyer! It was a pity my neighbour, who is a lawyer, told me that you have to make straight As in order to become a lawyer. As all of you guessed, I ruled out lawyer as my ambition.
After giving up my ambition to become a lawyer, I guess I never tought about what I wanted to be anymore. Which is kind of sad..
....
Streaming year in sec 3. I realized I couldn't take blood. I am absolutely pertrified to see organs and stuff. Thus ruling out biology as my subject of choice. I laugh at myself for ever wanting to be a doctor. It was a stupid ambition. Well, at least in my case.

(Basically likes and dislikes something just because everyone else is starting to get tired of it)
Then, there's type two. The: ONE WHO DOESN'T HAVE AN IPHONE SO COMES AND BUGS YOU TO USE YOUR IPHONE BUT YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO REJECT THEM SO YOU HAVE TO LEND THEM YOUR IPHONE, THEN THEY PLAY WITH YOUR IPHONE UNTIL IT HAS ONLY 25% BATT LEFT.
Wow, that was a mouthful.
For those of you that own iphones, you'll know that 25% isn't alot.

These kinda people irratate me alot. LOL.
Sometimes people ask for my phone so I lend them with a batt percentage of 90%
When I get it back, 25%.
The worst part is they seem like you HAVE to lend them.

Hi guys! Zomg, it's the first time i'm
posting on my iPhone. Thus, no pictures ):

I suddenly have something to blog about!

DSLRs -
as some of you may know, my dad has rejected my request for a DSLR.
His reason? He's afraid I might get too caught up in it and neglect my studies. At first I thought that reason was bullshit. In fact, I still think that reason is bullshit. But after thinking about it for sometime, I agree that now's not the best time to get one. Reason number one: I'll tend to go out more if I have a camera. Because a camera=taking loads of photographs. And I don't want to just take a photograph of my backyard. I'm sure you'll get bored after awhile too right? For me, going out=spending money=broke.
I'm already broke btw. Hahahahahahahahah. But this is not the only reason why I've gotten over my desprate want for a DSLR. I've also noticed while reading blogs, that the person owning the DSLRs are not the ones with the most photos taken of themselves. It's mostly pictures of their friends. When I go out with my friends, whoever that brings the camera is automatically deemed the photographer of the day. I don't know about you. But I get irratated easily is someone constantly asks for me to take pictures for them. LOL. it'll kind be like 'eh take a picture leh? Eh not nice! Another one! One more!' yeah, I'm not good at that. Hahaha. So I guess I'll just be contended with my lovely iPhone which Chester says has only a 2 megapixal camera. Whatever, the photo it takes owns any 8 megapixel camera any day! In my opinion, it has the same photo quality as a DSLR. Just without the shutter and the fancy effects. Hahaha.
PS/ this does not mean that I don't want a DSLR, it just means I'm
willing to wait til when it's the right age to get one. Haha, I think we're maturing too fast in today's society of technology. THE SUN!
Yes my fellow Singaporeans. Singapore is burning hot. IT'S ON FIRE! Literally.
Today, I wore shorts with a 3quarter length shirt. Not much right? Well guess what? A 5 minute walk from my house to the bus stop made me sweat non stop for 30minutes.

30MINUTES!

When I got on the bus I was still dripping with sweat. I thought it was all over once I got on the MRT but no. I kept sweating all the way to Somerset. I kept thinking that the SBS transit raised the temperature in the train to cut cost. Then I moved to the center of the train and I cooled down. Haha.

I really think that one day, Earth's gonna be too hot to live in. & then we'll all die a horrible death of being burnt alive like roast pigs. *shudders.

Argh, I'm having writer's block. I can't think of what to write.

Shopping spree at vivo yesterday & I've spent nearly all my money before the holidays even started!

It was funny yesterday. It seems husbands and boyfriends all over the world unite to wait for their wives and girlfriends while they try on clothes. At Zara, you could see the husbands/boyfriends holding their phone in one hand, and their wives/girlfriends bags in the other. They all had the "Ughhh" expression. I swear it was epic. Hahah! Over at Forever 21, things were pretty much the same. you could see the husbands/boyfriends sitting on the ledge in one row. All playing with their phones with their lover's handbag beside them. HAHAHAHH!
If I had a boyfriend. I would never ever make him go shopping with me. I'm too wonderful of a person ^^
After shopping for so long, I bought a top, a pair of shoes, a bottom and earrings. Was a very productive day yesterday! & I'm going back again to buy my reserved top. LOL. I'm gonna be broke very very very soon. Need more $$ !

As a matter of fact, yes. That would be me who is using "these" type of camera.

I got a hand-me-down camera from my dad. Hahah! It's a slr. It's like a dslr. Just without the D. Which means it isn't digital. Oh well, who needs the digital one anyway, the slr is vintage ^^ Plus plus, It has way better shutter speed sounds ^^

I wanted to post this 5 days ago. However, bloger took like 2 fucking hours to upload just these pictures. That's a major turn off & I don't feel like blogging once again. LOL.

Anyway, school's been a whirlwind. Chinese is becoming more and more annoying. I have no motivation to study. I feel tired all the time. I also feel lonely all the time. I also feel lost sometimes. Oh I'm insecure. I need someone to talk to...

Anywayz, went to pangkor for the long weekend last week. 8 hours does not make me happy.

Good Friday, ironically was not good for me at all.

I burnt my leg resulting in a massive scar. Which also cause me to not be able to go snorkling.
My slipper broke. My slipper broke at a beach resort. LOL.
I lost $140 bucks in blackjack.

But the rest of the trip was pretty much okay I guess. The sunset is really spectacular. It was amazing. Absolutely breath-taking. Haha. (I'm stuck, I don't know what to write after this..)

Napfa 2.4km is like finally finally over! I always dreaded PE cos of the 2.4km run. I'm satisfied with my timing ^^
YAYZ. Next challenged, 5 items. Especially sit-ups, pull-ups and standing board jump. Ugh.

Can't believe I'm blogging again. Wonder how long I'll be able to keep up with the blogging madness.
It's a diesease I tell you.
Anyway, lately, I've been noticing the increasing number of people with DSLRs. I'm not gonna lie, I do envy those people with DSLRs. The feeling of just holding a DSLR is awesome. It makes you feel, Pro. Should I buy one? Yes yes, I'm no professional photorapher. I just like the thrill of holding the camera. Don't we all?
Canon just came up with the latest S90. It takes DSLR quality pictures, and it's digital camera sized! No need to carry such a bulky camera around. However, the S90 just dosen't give you the same satisfaction as a DSLR. Agree agree?
Hmmmm. If I had a DSLR, what am I gonna do with it? take pictures, duh. LOL.

Firstly, I would like to thank Edward and Suwen for being there for me last Sunday when I had my "breakdown". LOLOLOL! HAHA.

I would like to make a big announcement.

4th WEEK OF SCHOOL IS OFFICIALLY OVER BABY.

So lots of things happened this week. It was pretty eventful.

1) Mayflower Basketball B girls won the match against Queenstown. Which basically means we qualify for the second round ^^

2) Investiture. Oh wow. Haha! I'm glad investiture is over. I didn't think I'd make it in the heels.

Then the rest of the week pretty much just zoomed past.

1) Joshua decided to get a new bag. He wants a handbag. HAHAHAH.

2) FULL MOON TONIGHT! :D

I got called fat this morning. What a perfect way to start the year. Thanks Mingyang. LOL. So anywayz, I got freaked out this morning cos of the whole CA thing. But then I realised, that since they're constructing the indoor sports hall, no one can assemble in the parade square. Which means, I worried the whole night for nothing. LOL. First day of school wasn't as bad as I expected. Everywhere was very clique-y though. 2E dominate :D I got Mr Raymond Ch'ng for form teacher. He's funny! I got Mr Prem for my phy teacher! *Happy *Happy *Happy! Had my very first Amath lesson today. Mr Ch'ng says Emath stands for Easy maths and Amath stands for Amazing math. LOL. He says Math stands for " Make A Teacher Happy " LOLOLOLOL. I guess Amath was okay, I expect it to get alot worse as the year goes by though. Hahah. Well, here's to a wonderful school life ahead. Won our first match today ^^
It's actually worth blogging about. HAHA. At the last 15seconds of the game against Bukit Merah Secondary, someone fouled Huang. The score was 38 to 41. 38 being Mayflower's score. So Huang got 2 free shots. She scored one in, which made the score 39-41. The second shot she missed, but Caiyin grabbed to rebound and scored. Which made the score 41-41. YAY! TIE! :D So we went into overtime. & we won by 10 points. Hahah. Happy :D Cos Mayflower hasn't won a game at all. LOLZ. So after that was prize presentation.

If you would look at my face in the last picture. You would see that I'm camera shy. LOL! Haha.
Coach treated us dinner afterwards. Mayflower Secondary is so lucky to have him as our Coach.
